MEET YOUR PHYSICIAN
Dr. Peter Canning
Dr. Canning is a board-certified, practicing emergency physician with over 17 years of experience working with ketamine. Throughout nearly two decades on the front lines of acute care, he has witnessed the profound toll of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and existential distress.
To help address this suffering, he expanded his practice to support healing in a different way—through the intentional, monitored use of ketamine for mental health and personal transformation.
In addition to his conventional medical training, Dr. Canning has pursued extensive specialization in psychedelic medicine. He completed a year-long program with the SoundMind Institute, focusing on the safe, ethical, and therapeutic use of ketamine and other psychedelic medicines. He obtained specialized training in applying ketamine for palliative care through EOLPC (End of Life Psychedelic Care), and is an active member of the Psychedelic Medicine Association (PMA).
Dr. Canning’s approach is rooted in medical expertise, trauma-informed care, and a deep respect for each person’s healing process. His work emphasizes psychedelic risk reduction to ensure safety, and includes supporting patients through integration practices that help translate psychedelic experiences into meaningful life changes.
He works with Paradigm Mental Health and Wellness to offer thoughtful, personalized care.
Whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, or a life-limiting or terminal illness, Dr. Canning is here to help you move toward clarity and healing with compassion, and support.
